The Xbox Series X console got a long-awaited feature

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S console just got the long-awaited Quality of Life feature, thanks to each console’s new update. With the Xbox One, Xbox users had no complaints about the console design, so it was time for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S console, Microsoft implemented that design and most of its functionality as well. However, the console still lacks the features and technology that its competitors boast. There’s not much Microsoft can do about the latter, but they are slowly but surely taking on the former.

To that end, the Xbox button on your Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S console now has the ability to switch TV inputs back to your console, although you’ll need to have HDMI-CEC turned on to enable this and have a setup that supports this as well. T

The news comes the way that Eden Marie, chief engineering officer at Xbox provided a visual along with news of how and where the feature is enabled.

“All Xbox Series X|S consoles are getting a feature, starting today, that will switch TV inputs to your console when you press the Xbox button on your console,” said Maris. “You’ll need to have HDMI-CEC turned on and a setup that supports it, but – no more searching for the remote!”

At the moment, no further updates have been announced for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. During the Xbox One console generation, Microsoft did very little for the standard console in terms of revision and additions, instead favoring small improvements here and there. . Looks like this will be an MO with the Xbox Series X console and Xbox Series as well.
